"It was a very educational experience."

I was looking for a place during the summer holidays where I could improve my web development skills, and eventually I ended up at DTT as a PHP developer intern. It was a very educational experience. I learned how to apply object-oriented programming techniques and design patterns where possible to write code as efficiently as possible. In addition, the code I wrote was reviewed by more experienced programmers at DTT. They were able to clearly point out where things went wrong and where improvements could be made. I’ve noticed that the code I write now is a lot more dynamic, and even after the internship, I continue to use better coding practices. The programming assignments and projects I now have at school are also much easier for me. Furthermore, the atmosphere at DTT is very enjoyable. You can talk to anyone, and there are lots of international colleagues. People speak English a lot so that everyone can communicate with each other. Friday evenings are the best. At 17:00, the beer is opened and fries, frikandellen, and kroketten are served. After that, everyone sticks around to have drinks and catch up. That’s when you really get to know your colleagues, and that’s what makes DTT a fun place to be.
