The Operatie Z.U.I.V.E.R. app encourages players to pick up litter in the municipality of Hollands Kroon. Players can conquer areas in the app by identifying and recycling litter. We are happy to share the positive experience of Han van Egmond, core manager at the municipality of Hollands Kroon:
'Litter is a major nuisance for many people. In the primary schools of the municipality of Hollands Kroon, children in group 6 came up with the solution. A game app would contribute to reducing litter.
With a reasonably well-developed idea, we approached DTT. They responded enthusiastically to the idea. The game is intended to raise awareness of the litter problem among young people.
DTT has pleasantly surprised us with the development of this app, Operatie Zuiver. The game, like Pokémon GO, can be played in the public space with Augmented Reality. The game is educational, can be played solo, but also with groups competing against each other. You can add schools or sports clubs in the app to create competitions. We believe it can make a significant contribution to raising awareness of litter among young people. DTT has been amazing in helping us develop the app. They think creatively, come up with solutions, and are ready to answer our questions. We have expressed the intention to continue developing the app together.'
