Lekkerder bij de boer: an hit in the app stores and with the pers

The Lekkerder bij de Boer platform brings farmers and customers together and makes buying straight from the farmer easier. Last year, we worked on the concept and the design of Lekkerder bij de Boer. These past weeks the app rose in popularity, partly because of the sympathy for the farmers in the Netherlands. 

Highlighted by the press and Editie NL

The past two weeks Lekkerder bij de Boer was number one in all the charts of the App Store and Google Play all week. In addition, the number of consumer accounts skyrocketed. In an interview for de Provinciale Zeeuwse Courant Thomas Siahaya, the founder of Lekker bij de Boer, shared: “It is about thousands of accounts a day, with outliers up to 13.000 in only one day. We also see our social media followers going up with 1.500 each day.” 

Different tabloids and websites wrote about the app, including RTL Nieuws, the Algemeen Dagblad, de Ondernemer, Melkveebedrijf and more. As icing on the cake, Lekkerder bij de Boer was highlighted in an episode of Editie NL.

A project on a distance

The Lekkerder bij de Boer app was developed during the prime of Covid-19, that is why all activities were remote between Vlissingen and Amsterdam. We have enjoyed working on the concept and the design of the app, so that the user experience is optimally streamlined within the platform.
