During Media Literacy Week this year, more than 8,100 elementary school classes enrolled in MediaMasters, the national serious game about the opportunities and dangers of (digital) media. Media Literacy Week is over, in this blog we are happy to share a look back.

The most media-savvy class of the Netherlands

In early November, more than 180,000 children competed at school and at home to earn as many bits (points) as possible. After an exciting final day, group 8 of the Nicolaas Maesschool from Amsterdam may call themselves the most media savvy class of the Netherlands for a year.

A record number of participants answer 100 questions per second

The 2022 edition of MediaMasters got off to a flying start: records for the number of participating classes and students were already broken on the first day of play. On the final day, there were as many as 20,000 simultaneous users answering 100 questions per second. Never before had so many students played so many games: a great achievement, which also made the MediaMasters get in Jeugdjournaal this year.
