Randstad Configurator: global Human Forward

Furnishing 4,000 offices the same interior. Coming home worldwide.

On behalf of Randstad, we developed the Randstad Configurator. This handy online tool allows Randstad branch managers worldwide to easily create a digital replica of their office. Randstad successfully applied the Configurator to roll out its new style guide - Human Forward - worldwide.

Human Forward

In 2018, Randstad launched its new vision: Human Forward. A vision with a focus on people, technology and the future. This renewal was accompanied by a completely updated style guide and a new interior for Randstad its 4,000+ offices in 30+ countries. Together with Randstad we developed an online tool to accelerate and ease this transition.

Digital transformation with simplicity

The Randstad Configurator helps thousands of branch managers convert their Randstad offices to Human Forward's style guide. Within the solution, unburdening and simplicity are paramount, with a focus on the following pillars:

1. The configurator can be used directly in the browser - without a download.
2. Employees have access with their Randstad account - extra secure and accessible.
3. An office is easy to recreate à la 'The Sims' - in 15 minutes a digital twin of the office is up and running.
4. With a few clicks, the office is dressed up with Human Forward furniture and the iconic Randstad wallpaper.
5. For questions about the style guide, an architect can look directly into the tool and leave suggestions.
6. After completion, you receive a printout including quotes from local suppliers fully automatically.

The result: a user-friendly solution that is used worldwide among a diverse workforce. This is how we help Randstad achieve a global and uniform rollout of Human Foward faster.

Architect looks worldwide

Amsterdam-based architecture firm OTH_ helped Randstad design the new Human Forward interior. When the branch managers have completed their digital office, it is shared - entirely within the Configurator - with OTH_'s architects. This is where final checks are made and any adjustments made. Once the architect has approved the office, the branch manager can print out the order list. In this way, we ensure that the offices are uniformly in line with Human Forward, worldwide.

Management in your own hands

The Randstad Configurator includes a comprehensive custom Content Management System (CMS). Through the CMS, Randstad is able to manage the Human Forward content in the solution completely independently, from the (3D) furniture to the wallpaper. With more than 30 regions, the solution also has in-depth localization. For each region, Randstad can make any adjustments, including availability, price and local supplier.
