Jim Movebooks: playful exercise classes a hit at daycare centres

Digital movebooks with exciting stories: a success at daycare centres.

Together with Friends Call Me Jim (FCMJ), we developed the Jim Movebooks app. Friends Call Me Jim is an interactive gym in Amsterdam where children learn motor to social-emotional skills through exercise classes. The movement lessons of Friends Call Me Jim focus on dynamic characters, environments and storylines, with this the children are playfully motivated and rewarded during the gym.

When the FCMJ location closed its doors in early 2020 due to the corona crisis, we teamed up with Friends Call Me Jim to develop a business-to-business (B2B) elaboration of the Friends Call Me Jim concept. The app enables facilitators to independently teach 'Friends Call Me Jim' gym classes, for example at daycare centres. Through a convenient online dashboard, the FCMJ team can manage licenses that grant access to the app.

Jim'tastic results

Since November 2022, Friends Call Me Jim has partnered with Kindergarden, one of the largest daycare centres in the Netherlands. The Jim Movebooks app is now used at all 300+ Kindergarden locations in the Netherlands. "Moving is made fun and that's why we deploy the program at all our toddler groups."
