A care app for more direction, self-insight and mental support after a cancer diagnosis.
Together with the University of Twente's Faculty of Behavioural Management and Social Sciences (BMS), DTT has designed the Compas-Y app for patients recently diagnosed with cancer. The solution provides a free, approachable tool that addresses the emotional impact of diagnosis with compassion and support.
Compas-Y consists of six modules spread over six weeks, in which users discover reflective exercises, psycho-educational explanations and audio exercises in a variety of formats. With animation, text and illustrations, the app provides versatile and valuable support during this challenging stage of life. Upon completion, users can repeat their favorite exercises and receive positive push notifications. Compas-Y is not just an app; it is a friendly compass for emotional recovery, a source of self-compassion in times of challenge.
During the University of Twente's research into the effectiveness of the Compas-Y app developed by DTT, enriching insights were gained. This advanced app played a crucial role in the study, with its use providing essential data for a deeper understanding of Compas-Y's effectiveness in practice. People already using Compas-Y shared their inspiring stories. One of them shares:
"I can say with certainty that the app was a turning point for me. It helped me listen to my body better and let go of work when I needed to."
